I might be broken but Pretty in Pink is still going strong – and the Smartwool Cup offers you plenty of opportunities to get your pink on, support Hope Lives! and win tons of cool prizes in the process.
During the last two years of fundraising during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’ve had fans come up to me looking to support my efforts. In the past, I’ve had to direct them online where they could purchase tees or jerseys and buy raffle tickets.
This year, I’m hosting two onsite events in conjunction with an online raffle in late October. The first onsite fundraising effort was in Madison. Now, I bring all things pink to Fort Collins.
The Pretty in Pink table will be set up at the Smartwool Cup number party on Friday from 5-7PM and at the Specialized tent at the race site from 8AM-5P on both Saturday and Sunday. As always, 100% of the proceeds from all things Pretty in Pink goes directly to Hope Lives!
Breakaway and DeFeet have supplied me with a limited number of Pink is the New Fast tees ($22) and socks ($10) to sell. Shirts are also available to order online, and if we happen to run out of your size onsite, we’ll have an iPad on hand for you to place your order from the race venue. DeFeet socks are currently only available onsite but should be available for sale via my personal website soon.
Thanks to the generosity of Light & Motion, Oakely, lululemon, Mad Alchemy, Thule and Modify, I will host an on-site Pretty in Pink raffle. You can purchase a single ticket for $5 or five tickets for $20. I’ll announce raffle winners on Sunday between the elite women and elite men’s races (around 3:45PM). I can ship prizes if necessary, so you do not need to be present to win.
Although cash is preferred, I will be able to accept credit cards for both apparel and raffle tickets.
My favorite ten-year-old will also be on hand to sell you pink bows and pink cupcakes on Sunday. Elizabeth began raising funds for Hope Lives! at the age of eight and has raised around $1000 over the last four years. Like me, she donates 100% of her proceeds to the cause.
Any questions? Tweet them to me @mmcyclist and I’ll do be my best to get you answers.
See everyone in Fort Collins!

Looking forward to buying some socks in Fort Collins to race in and support Hope Lives! and I encourage everyone else to do the same! See you this weekend!
